I knew it all along that magical moment only happened once in a blue moon; in fact, I was very sure that a repeat of that moment in 2 years time is near to imu abolishing the formal dress code.

Yes, I wished that the superb display of football in Istanbul 2 years back will be revived in Athens on 23/5/07. But I knew the match, as close it might be, wouldn’t be like that of 2005- whereby Liverpool caught up with the score of 3-0 in a span of a MERE 6 minutes. For those football fanatics, you all would have known that AC Milan and their fans thought that they had secured the uefa cup by half time, when the scoreboard showed 3-0.

I was so hoping that scene like this would emerge at the end of the match between Liverpool and AC Milan, though I know that Liv’s attack is not as strong as that of AC Milan.

I was told not to stay up at 2a.m. to watch the match as I have to ensure myself fit for the trip to china. So I satisfied my desire by watching 1 hour of the pre-match stuff *and basically more of steven gerrard* before I went to bed, only to dream that Liv lost 4-1 on penalty to AC Milan. *Talk about bad omen*

This morning, I woke up early at 8.30 a.m. to catch the replay. There would be suspense since nobody told me the score and the results aren’t in the papers yet, or so I thought. ARGH BUT MY DAD had to spoil it by telling me ‘they lost; opponent had 1 goal in the first half and another in the second half’ .

I went on to watch the match as I wanted not only the results, but also to see how they played. Liverpool really played better than I expected; usually they are quite conservative, but this time, they really did well in attack and had many chances, albeit missed ones. *Sob* Steven Gerrard was not in his usual top-form either. I guess life is like that, the winner goes to the side who knows how to grab hold of opportunities.

Hope Gerrard will reach another peak in his career in the coming season. With the new American bosses, I really wish that Liverpool will get some good attackers (They are really deprived of this) and also some (young) dynamic defenders. Hopefully, Liverpool will succeed in winning at least one silverware in the coming season.

*You will never walk alone!*

WAGNER Prelude: The Mastersingers
PROKOFIEV Violin concerto no.1
BRUCKNER Symphony No.6 in A

The 06/07 Season closes, as is customary, with a major symphony by one of the two great Austrian masters of the late Romantic era, Mahler and Bruckner, But as Bruckner’s Sixth Symphony (premièred by Mahler) is one of his most concise and direct, that gives us time to include not only Wagner’s majestic Prelude to his most cheerful and entertaining opera, but to welcome back on to the DFP stage star violinist Joshua Bell.

‘Featured in countless articles and named one of the “50 Most Beautiful People” by People magazine, the boyish-looking virtuoso is considered something of a heartthrob among classical music fans. ‘

The website where I got that quote from states he is 37 (and they still call him ‘boyish-looking’) !! Wei yin told me he is good-looking so I went to google the pics.

J_bell

I was imagining him to be younger.

Joshuabell

Wow, he looks good here. I bet it is the pics of his younger days. See, age does catch up with you. But then again, I will be there for the music, not the looks. Want to look at lengchais, go google pics only la, why would I bother to pay like RM 30 to see him *I do NOT google lengchais ok, except for the time when I need to feature takeshi kaneshiro in my blog*

I am enjoying life now =) I love the look at people studying hardcore in the library while I am enjoying my freedom( that was wat michi did on the last day of exams, not me!!) I love watching astro for hours with the feel of remote control on my hands, I love being a youtube junkie, I love reading my story books. The only thing I will about uni during holz is friends; but then again, we are a happening bunch and tonight itself we have poh leen’s 21st bday party to attend. Then we have hui xin’s. Then we are seeing each other during industrial attachment.
